[ILUG] Per User IP Accounting

[ILUG] Per User IP Accounting

Dave Burke dave at iol.ie

Good Morning,

I compiled in and enabled Per User IP Accounting into my 2.0.36 kernel
last night. Anyway this morning when I came in i did a "/sbin/ipacct"
and every uid had this entry:
dburke 168.xx.xxx.xx 0 0 N

According to the Per User IP Accounting homepage the "N" means the further
net access is denied.

Anybody any idea why everyone would be blocked from that IP? Or how the
entry got in there in the first place? There was only about 40 logins
during the night (so it can't have been anything done by the users) and
there doesn't seem to have been any connections from that IP (which looks
to be somewhere in korea).

Thanks,
Dave
