: LILO in any incarnation I've used (i.e. up to RH5.2) can cause problems
: with NT, i.e. blue screens at bootup, unable to locate files crap, I had
: to play with partition numbers in the Nt boot.ini once after installing
: Linux,
I dont know much about NT. At most, I had it for a week on my system, before
I decided it wasnt worth it. But my experience was.. I installed NT over an
existing Win98/Linux setup. (Windows on the first drive, linux on the
second). I was prepared for the worst, I read every NT Bootloader/ LILO
nightmare story out there. Every one of them said to install NT first, but I
(recklessly? Stupidly?) decided to install it over Linux. I rebooted after
the NT install, and got ready to try and get LILO back up and running. When
I did.. I got my LILO prompt again. Only when I typed "dos", did I get the
NT bootloader screen. I dont know if anyone else has had this experience,
but it made things an awful lot easier than they said in all of the HOWTOs.
