Have a look at the console log, I get a load of messages about opening
dev 02:00 (floppy) (I don't have a disk in).
Eject the cdrom, either wait for the timeout (1 mins as per that file,
you can decrease it if you want) or umount /misc/cd, and then use eject.
I haven't played with it enough, but you may be able to get an
after umount do this type thing.
