I've Linux and NT living together in (reasonable) harmony on an IBM
Thinkpad, have LILO managing the boot, and I've had no problems whatsoever.
Apparently it's the NT OS Loader that has problems with loading Linux, yes?
So that's not the way to go, just let it think it's only got NT to worry
about, once you've decided, with LILO, to boot NT.
Unless I'm talking way out of my arse.
