Thanks to everyone for the replies on this question.
Unfortunately the thread went off on a bit of a tangent early on. What I
was really looking for was advice on using removable media to boot from.
The advice on dual booting will be usefull if I can't get removable media
to work correctly, but I was hoping to use a Zip/LS120/whatever to avoid
the whole issue.
What d'ya think ?

Nope it's LILO having problems with NT, it a typical case of just because
it works once for someone, I didn't make myself clear enough earlier, I
have installed many dual boots in the last 2-3 yrs, and I have only seen
