Maybe but I'd   go with the concurrent , garbage collected , object
oriented and 
beautifully visual Toon-Talk . No kidding this works . Some friends of
mine have implemented a LEGO mindstorms toontalk api for teaching kids how
to program. It is really cool and pretty fast too. If you don't mind using 
Toby the Thread or similiar classes it rocks.

I can't find the URL at the moment but if you really want I'll pass it on
to you. I think that it was developed at MIT.
