I really like gnome, I would probably like KDE too if I tried a recent
version.
Thing is, I got rid of Gnome after just a few days. I just have no use
for it.
GMC is a very nice file manager, there are some nice editors, some games
and gui config tools which are easy to use. The latest release is quite
stable too only bringing X down when I was installing and configuring
it.
I still prefer moving files using "mv" and launching apps by typing them
into a xterm, or off the Window Maker dock. (There's not many apps
there)
Anyone agree? I guess it's just a mind set. When I use Windows, I find
myself using Explorer but that's only because the dos shell is so bad.
And besides, the games are installed already so I just click to play.
Just a few thoughts..
Donncha.
