Well, IMHO, where they went wrong with ISDN, was for a long time, noone
knew what was happening with ISDN, was it coming, was it not..Noone waited
around for things to settle..

No the standard is "supposed" to be 8Mb down and 1/2Mb up.

Yup, there is also a www.adsl.org site. It gives a good overview on the
technology used. Also have a look in the Data Communications magazine, or
on their website.  They give alot of info on ADSL/ ISDN comparions.
