This question has been posted to the list so many times
now that I'm starting to wonder if anybody bothers
to read the answers.
The previous behaviour was wrong, and it's much
more convenient to accidentally email just one person
than a multitude.

# I've been noticing here the past few days that whenever I reply to a
# mesg on this group, the 'reply-to' address is the person who sent the
# mesg and not the usergroup. Is this something to do with the new list
# settings or something, as it never happened to me before. Happens on
# both Netscape and Pine. Am I the only one here who this is
# happening to?
