I presume you're talking about Window Maker, right?
How did you install? From tarball? What Linux Distro?
As you were upgrading from 0.20.x - did you run wmaker.inst? Did you
uninstall the old binaries (to make sure you actually running the new one)?
If you're really running 0.53.0 (which is latest), the "Info" panel should
display that version - not 0.20.x.
