[ILUG] Modem woes

[ILUG] Modem woes

Moloney, Mark Mark.Moloney at emea.gateway.com
Tue Apr 27 17:33:32 IST 1999

Okay, well, I'm very much a linux newbie (2 weeks now), and I can get it all
working fine (using Linux-Mandrake 5.3: Redhat Linux 5.2 and KDE) with the
sole exception of my modem: a "dataflex v34 voice surfer".

I hate modems. It works fine in windoze, and as far as I know it's not a
winmodem (it's kind of odd, actually, the manual is unusually uninformative
and doesn't say either way explicitly).

Any ideas? (Or just outright solutions?)

Mark
