Speaking of MP3's, Apple just bought the rights to the codec.
Interesting to see where that'll lead, given Apple's recent
return to the light side of the force wrt opensourcing various
things. However, they still have a tendency to hang onto other
things like grim death, so it could go either way.
Mind you, Fraunhofer weren't too bad with source releases and
licensing either. Gives Apple a serious edge on QT4 audio
codecs though :-)
