I just resurrected the laptop with a new 3.2 GB disk and started to
reinstall RH5.2...everything goes fine until it tries to install
the bootloader, which fails with no information, and won't go any
further (obviously :-)
It was working fine on the old 1.2 GB disk until that crashed. Is
there something/anything I should know/have done when I installed the
bigger disk? I just clipped out the old one and clipped in the new
(and upgraded the BIOS to know about big disks -- this thing is 3
years old). I'm worried that the BIOS upgrade might have affected its
ability to have Linux write the bootloader (has anyone ever downgraded
a BIOS?)
