Heyas..
I take it a lot of people on this list have (at least tried) debian. So it
stands to reason that a couple have managed to get it to connect with pppd.
If so, could they please tell me what I'm doing wrong with my connection
with Debian 2.1? I've set up a ppp connection on most distributions of
Linux, and even FreeBSD, but I just can't get it to work with debian. Here's
the output from /var/log/messages...
Apr 29 16:50:47 stuff chat[20023]: Protocol:
Apr 29 16:50:47 stuff chat[20023]: -- got it
Apr 29 16:50:47 stuff chat[20023]: send (ppp^M)
Apr 29 16:50:47 stuff pppd[20022]: Serial connection established.
Apr 29 16:50:48 stuff pppd[20022]: Using interface ppp0
Apr 29 16:50:48 stuff pppd[20022]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/modem
Apr 29 16:51:19 stuff pppd[20022]: Connection terminated.
It doesnt even TELL me what I'm doing wrong. Someone please help?
