I had the "cannot install bootloader" message yesterday, and was stumped
until I just got it to make a boot disk, then tried to run lilo once
it was booted.. silly muggins had installed it in the last Gig of my drive,
cylinders 1450->1500... doh... so if you have a drive > 8Gb make _sure_ the
kernel is on a drive which is situated in the first 1000 cylinders.
