RH6 is using gdm. Yook me a while to find /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf to set
it to 16 bit colour too..
(Lacking in xdm experience.. login at the text mode console.. only way
to do it ;)
On a related note, you can pick Gaelic from the gdm language menu and
you get some Irish menu options! "Ealu as" instead of "Logout"!
