[ILUG] Moniter settings

[ILUG] Moniter settings

Michael Field - NC Systems Server Engineering - SUN Ireland Michael.Field at ireland.sun.com
Wed Aug 4 10:53:38 IST 1999

Voltages vary locally because of transmission and transformer losses. They will
also vary with time. For example when (esp. deep in the sticks) several people
on the same transformer plug in the electric kettle in the morning and maybe go
for a shower the voltage is going to fall because of the increase in current.

In Ireland domestic voltages can be anything from 220V to 250V.

Michael.
