The best one that I have come across is IMP, http://www.horde.org/imp
Can be a pain to setup and compile correctly but it's totally worth it as
once you get it running its real fast. Version 2.1.10 was released at the
weekend, and if you subsribe to their mailing list you'll begin to notice
that half the posting are from the developers themselves, so it's real
well supported as well.
