all the same (not eterm), but i'm using the redhat upgrades to gnome?
also, my printing problem from yesterday: i solved it. a friend in
the states is the only postscript hacker i know, and he wrote up
a little snippet of ps to insert into letter targetted ps files.
you put it in just after the initial comments (!% and %! are equiv
to /* and */ in c i think).

i tried liam's mpage solution, but i think i hit a bug - both gv
and the printer choke on page 2. page one looked good though.
other people mentioned psutils - probably would have worked, but
i was too lazy to download/compile/install.
as an aside i use vim and have :syntax on in my ~/.exrc. there's
a postscript mode. someone edits enough postscript code that they
took the time to make a vi syntax mode for it.
