Hi,
I just worked out how much it would cost to stay online
constantly on East Clear using the new service (surfNoLimits
or something) that they're launching next month. I know there
would be problems where you would have to change DNS settings
for a domain name everytime you got disconnected. But would this
happen often?
It would be even cheaper (£2560/year) using say IOL during day
and Esat at night. But this would only work if you weren't
hosting stuff locally.
Anyway what I worked it as £8160 inc VAT per year for a full
time connection to esat. Possible catch is you would have to
create a new connection after 6PM everyday?
How does this compare to leasing 64K from telecom or whoever?
Padraig.
