Writing SMP-safe kernel code.  What are the rules?  Are there various
spinlocks that code should acquire before doing stuff?  What's the correct
order for acquiring multiple locks?  Writing efficient and correct 
synchronisation code.

Or pretty much any deep magic.

OS kernels fascinate me.  I just wish I had time to work on them
(and an itch that needs scratching to force me to do it...).
