Mike Bennett spoke thusly:
>I've found a company that offers box hosting starting from 99 dollars a month
>and has differenet hosting packages which scale nicely. Mind you there is an
>intial setup fee of around 250 dollars, or cheaper if you send over your own
>box (yep, wander down to the gpo and ask for a 32p stamp to send a kick ass
>server over to america :) I've not used them so I don't know what they're like
lots of cheap server places in the states. best plan: buy a ticket to
somewhere with a decent concentration of them, check with the local lug
and see which ones are good, fly over and buy a box there (preferrably
buying in a state w/o sales tax (new jersey and new hampshire qualify in
the north east)), set it up and install it at the site, go to the beach,
come back and enjoy the bandwidth while your tan fades.
sure the first year works out as expensive as here, but you get a holiday
out of it. one other downside - the box is in the states, be careful
with crypto.
