[ILUG] I'm in trouble

Guys,

I need help badly. I installed kernel 2.2.11 and compiled it but some
modules that I had running before ( vme, gpib0, ibmtr, nfs ) were no longer
loading so I went back into "make menuconfig" and added in a few extra
options. However, now my PC won't boot. What can I do to restore my PC. I
have a boot disk and can get onto to my hard drive by mounting the hda3
partition. What can I do to restore the kernel so that I can get the PC to
boot. I tried to change the /etc/lilo.conf file to point to the old kernel
image but I cannot run /sbin/lilo to reset it. I badly need help - all
advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mise Le Meas/Kind Regards/Mit freundlichen Grüßen
