If you are planning on installing them it may be best to wait a little
while.

New 'stable' versions of Gnome & KDE are due out shortly. These are the last
before version 2 of both (I think).

KDE are putting work into the GUI & a new file manager.
Gnome are going for stablilty & apps.

Looks interesting. Yesterdays Slashdot had a little more on both.

I use blackbox on my slow system. Sweet.
