This is quite a bit off-topic but serious nevertheless.
A post to bugtraq reported that IE5 users could have files written to
their harddrive by an ActiveX component on any web page. I tried it here
with a few machines and it works flawlessly. A benign "Linux is loading"
message written to autoexec.bat from a webpage somewhere would be funny
though..
