Way off topic here but ...
Correct. Digi to Eircell Did start up about a month ago with CID.
A friend with a digi was really pissed cause he wasn't getting Eircel
numbers, so he rang digi and they told him that it would be fully functional
both directions RSN, i think she said the end of the month - which means it
could be working now.
On a similar note...
We have esat providing out land lines here in work. If I ring my mobile
(eircell) i get some really weird ass number coming up on my mobile display
6 (aprox) digits starting with a 0 (NO 01 either) the number is no where
related to my calling extension or even in our allocated block ?
Anyone any idea's what this might be ? I was guessing that it may be the
number for the access point from ESAT on to TE or something !?
I also had another weird one when some one rang me from a mobile (087)and
left a voice mail on the system here in work. The voice mail system told me
that the message was left my extension XXXX - the last 4 digits of the
mobile number that called ? The mobile number and the number range here in
work are not one bit alike. Weird !!
On the side has any one experience with east clear ? are they sending CID to
TE/Eircell/Digi ?
BTW. I thought that there was some legal regulartions that pervented TE from
introducing CID blindly over all customers (with a Mobile you had to ask for
it). When and how did this change ?

You sure it isn't only Digifone -> Eircell? i.e. if a Digifone person
rings Eircell they get the Digifone number, which has worked for at least
2-3 wks (first time I noticed), does it now work the other way, (can't
find an Eircell phone !!) and I think all our Telecom lines have CID
turned off somewhere further down the line than my phone ..
