[ILUG] FT article

[ILUG] FT article

Speaking of extra Publicity.
Check out the article in the FT (Financial Times) today.
The IT Supplement has a front page feature on Linux.

Some slight inaccuracies (in a way) but an interesting read.

It would be a nice idea. Download as much GNOME source as you can stomach,
and look for the .pot files. Edit it, change all the english words to
Gaelic, and rename it to ga_ie.po (there is already a ga.po that looks
wierd:

#: applets/asclock/dialogs.c:145
#, fuzzy
msgid "My Title"
msgstr "Leacaithe"

#: applets/asclock/dialogs.c:236
#, fuzzy
msgid "Clock Theme"
msgstr "Cniog"

#: applets/battery/battery.c:837
#, fuzzy
msgid "The GNOME Battery Monitor Applet"
msgstr "Staid batairm:"

Stuff like that...then mail the files to someone on one of the GNOME devel
mail lists for inclusion in the next distribution...then mail some place
like Computimes saying "GNOME now localised for Ireland"...bitta extra
press never hurt ;)
