[ILUG] netscape 4.6 and plugins

Caolan McNamara Caolan.McNamara at ul.ie
Thu Jun 3 17:40:40 IST 1999

i got the new netscape 4.6, standalone version and installed it.
Its a bit nippier and its java works again for me, so i like it,
unfortunately my plugins stopped working. Odd. ive all the NPX
and HOME paths set correctly for netscape and ver 4.08 worked
sweetly with the plugins. Anyone upgrade their netscape to
get the same problems? The plugins don't show up in about:plugins
anymore, nor is there any complaints from netscape on start up.
very odd. The standalone version worked with plugins in the past
so thats hardly the issue, though i am (possible the last one on
earth it feels sometimes) using libc5.
