NO WAY jose!
The whole idea behind the list - and certainly its attraction for me, at any
rate, is that while it centers on linux, it has a breadth of interest that
makes the whole thing fun as well serious and earnest. We've already split the
list to PRO and social. That's enough.
I've learnt so much more from postings about some \. article or some obscure
command that I have then been able to apply elsewhere (thats called lateral
thinking....) and I think that the list would become some anodyne, boring
repetitive FAQ otherwise. BTW, don't whinge at me about bandwidth, I have a
dial up connection on a 486DX66 running RedHat 5.2 and Windowmaker. And it is
FUN. as well as being a heck of a lot more productive for my work - Linux has
become my priamry OS because it _works_. So lighten up you lot, some of you
are starting to sound like Microserf clones. The fact that there is such a
level of traffic on the list means that it is working, and fulfilling its
purpose, which I would have thought was a "good thing".
Colm, I _really_ like what you (and ken and the rest) are doing both for and
with ILUG - I just *hate* this idea.
God Bless, Richard
