There are obviously a lot of Mac lovers here, judging by recent posts, so
perhaps one of you might have an idea about a problem I'm having. I want
to use Anarchie or Fetch (don't much care which) from a Mac via a Squid proxy
running on a Linux (go on, admit it, you thought it was anotehr off-topic post)
box. AFAIK Squid is configured correctly - Lynx on another Linux box uses the
proxy as does Netscape on a Macintosh. However, neither Fetch nor Anarchie will
connect via the proxy. They try, but they come back with various errors and
suggestions like "Perhaps the remote server is busy" (it's not). I know that
Anarchie does work with Squid as I have it working in another environment. I did
not set up squid there so I don't know if there's been something special done.
