Mr Penguin kernel at linuxmail.org

Over the last few months I have had a lot of experience with these so called "free" internet service providers in England. These seems to be a lot on the list about this sort of thing in the last week so I think there is a few facts I sould share with you. First of all the one that started this whole thing FreeServe. The first week after release this was the best thing since sliced bread , prople were leaving there own paid ISP to join it, left , right and center. But this was where the problem begain , the bandwith did not increase with the hughe increase in users and after about a month 2400Bps connections (I am not jokeing)where common place. Then of couse when people decided that they were fed up of this connection speed they went to uninstall freeserve to go back to there old ISP , found the second probem there was no uninstall option. Phone there technical support to uninstall the program, good idea ,about an hour @ £2 a minute , fun, fun , fun.... Well I hope this has
given ye all some info about this so called free isp's.............
