That hostname violates (perhaps too strong a word) RFC1123 Section 2.1:

     Host software MUST handle host names of up to 63 characters and
     SHOULD handle host names of up to 255 characters.

Section 1.3.2 defines their rather specialised use of the words "MUST"
and "SHOULD".
