"John P. Looney" burst across the net:

actually i'd settle for either. a small portable with a long battery
life that ran linux, vi and gcc/g++ (monochrome x would be nice too)
so i could do work on the bus *OR* a small motor to attach to my bike
for the long nasty hill between home and work so i could get to and from
work in a reasonable amount of time.
