Hi
I've been interested in getting to know a little about the way oracle
(preferably on a unix system) operates & am wondering if anybody has
any tips on how this might be possible without actually having any
access to an oracle database? I have no objection to spending
"reasonable" amounts on whatever books may be avaliable as I've already
spent obscene amounts on my O' Reilly altar, just that I'd rather not
waste money on "Microsoft Press" style stuff which will tell you what
you _can_ do but not how or "why" you might wish to do something that
way (windoze resource kit books being prime examples of extensions to
the marketing depts here)
also, sometime about september last year there was ri-ra (aside! how do
you get fada's into netscape under linux) about a version being freely
avaliable to "certain" ppl, the only details I have about that are from
meomry as I was using outlook for mail at the time :(
does anybody have any info on this that they could spare
Ray ...
really despising windoze these days
