Raymond Kelly burst across the net:
>also, sometime about september last year there was ri-ra (aside! how do
>you get fada's into netscape under linux) about a version being freely
>avaliable to "certain" ppl, the only details I have about that are from
>meomry as I was using outlook for mail at the time :(
>does anybody have any info on this that they could spare

sorry, only an answer about fada's. i'm just not a db geek.

in /etc/X11/XF86Config make sure you have a compose key:

---- grep -C -i compose /etc/X11/XF86Config ---->
    #To set the LeftAlt to Meta, RightAlt key to ModeShift,
    #RightCtl key to Compose, and ScrollLock key to ModeLock:

    LeftAlt        Meta
    RightAlt        Compose
   ScrollLock      Compose
   RightCtl        Control
<---- grep -C -i compose /etc/X11/XF86Config ----

then type Compose-; e for e-fada: e
          Compose-; a for e-fada: a

and so on.
