Niall O Broin burst across the net:
>I have a need to let a Winblows user access a box running RH5.1 via
>Exceed 6.0
i told gdm to stop offering it's services on the network. then i
told xdm to start offering services to the network (but not on
the local machine). then the user logs in and voila, they get their
desktop via exceed.
man xdm for more info. it's man page applies to gdm but the difference
is that xdm properly deals with xdmcp whereas gdm does not.
this is a great way to introduce linux to nt users, i can write up
a mini-howto if people are interested.
