I'd just like to point out that replies to mails should not include the
complete text of the previous message if the complete message isn't
needed. This includes the mailing list tag/sig line which adds 3 lines
to every mail. 
This is something that probably should be brought up every now and then
just to remind people.
Some guys here download their mail at night over a modem..
