I'm putting together 2 computers, one for mainly Linux Use, the other for
exclusive Win95 use.
I have 2 motherboards as follows which I can set up as follows...
P133 48MB ram. (6 simm sockets)
P166MMX 40MB ram. (4 simm sockets)
Which one should I set up for Linux?
================
I have another hardware issue I might as well tag in here.
One of the motherboards has a 6 pin header to connect the PS/2 mouse. The
cable I have has an 8 pin header. I'm going to have to rewire the cable but
I don't know the pin assignments of the 6 pin header.
ooo 6 pin arrangement. oo-o 8 pin arrangement.
ooo o---
There are 4 wires, +, -, clk and data. I could find the supply pins with a
multimeter, (should that be multimetre? :o ), and but there I'm stuck, (no
oscilloscope / logic analyser at home).
If anyone has the pinout please zap it to me.
Thanks,
Peter
