Have I just spent too much time on a support line, or is it actually nigh
on impossible to create an idiot proof distribution of any OS? Mac users
were particularly bad, as they often never had to even think about how
their computer worked until they had problems getting connected. And
thats in an OS environment which doesn't incorporate as wide a range of
hardware as PCs. The one thing that definitely can be said in favour
of DOS and Windows is that it makes users think about what's in their
machine.
