On Monday morning Peter Flynn asked for a volunteer to talk on Campus
Radio here in Cork City about Linux and LAID. I stuck my hand up and
rang the station and they said they'd get back to me.
I was up in UCC last night picking up two reams of paper (Thanks Peter!)
when I got a call from the station asking me to call up and do the
interview in a few minutes.
The result is available in mp3/mono/64kbps/2.5MB size at
http://cork.linux.ie/laid.mp3
Obviously I'm not used to talking on the radio, the presenter is the
manager of Game here in Cork so you'll understand his reaction to my
reference to his shop, I said a few honest things, ("If it destroys your
computer it's your fault but if you read the instructions..")
that others mightn't mention, but I thought it was reasonably ok in the
end.
Target audience is the student population in Cork city I suppose. Dunno
how many actually listen!
Don't forward this to anyone outside the list, I'll upload the mp3 file
to xoom.com and post a link later, then we can tell linuxtoday and
linuxgames ;)
Donncha.
