Right, like the eejit that I am, I was doing backups of my
_very_ important clearcase server last night, using ufsdump.
And I did a test backup, and that worked, so I went for:
ufsdump 0uf /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 <filesystems>
and forgot to put in the tape device... so I now have a screwed up
root partition. I have a backup of that (it's what I used to test it),
but because root is screwed, I can't use tcp to access the tape device,
which is on another machine, and I can't reboot to put the tape drive
on this machine...
so, is there a Solaris 7 CD rescue boot thingy, where I can bypass
the root partition (I could move the tape drive then)?
