well, i could always actually put the interface into promisc mode by
running 'ifconfig eth0 promisc'. but since i told you that earlier i found
out how to do it using ioctl to literally switch a flag
the scenario now is that the interface is defo in promisc mode... i'm
using the same code as earlier and still all i'm picking up is packets
being sent to the machine. the most important thing really for me at the
moment i think is to be able to pick up packets being sent from the
machine.
i haven't had a good chance to look at:
