First question! How much money goes through ILUG's books? Do you deal with
and money have you any books? I'm a member of a musical Socity of all
things, and we deal with fairly big sums of money (Like maybe and average
years salery!) and I have never seen and row or arguements over money. I
said this before at the last limerick F2F and I'll say it again. If you
start dealing with any sort of money then you need a Chairperson ,
Treasurer, and good accounts. Now if ILUG dosen't deal with any money then
this is all silly, but if it does have a budget of even 1 or 2 hundred
pounds then all the formalities are needed. There is really any other way to
deal with and orginasation with money. (Well there is have a dictator)

ILUG is a mailing list in essence and if it stays that way then All the
above mentions of AGM's and Chair's is by no means aplicaple. BUT (Very big
BUT) If ILUG starts orgnising events which cost money or to put it more
simply if ILUG spends money then you need a formal body to take
responciablity for spending that money then every member should see how the
money was spent. If they have a problem with that, then all arguements
should be brought up at an AGM, and voted on!
Again if ILUG dosen't deal with money other than paying for it's domain then
this whole email is irrelivant. If it does deal with money then questions
must be asked.
Don't fool you self when there's money involved you need stuff like this, if
you don't have it then your whole opperation will fall apart.
