I've done it the other way around. It generally involves transferring
the control over the DNS to the Irish ISP. The simplest thing for the
moment is to change the DNS information in the Internic record. You've
got to have yourself included as Technical or Admin contact. (This means
you contact the existing Admin and tell him to fill out a form replacing
the current contact.) Then when you are Tech or Admin just point the
DNSes to your own.

Only the Tech or Admin is necessary to acknowledge the request.

Most lawyers are public notaries as far as I remember. Check the Yellow
Pages for the one nearest you. Of course this whole domain transfer
issue takes time as Internic are not the fastest in the world.
