[ILUG] Linux and Alpha 100

Has anyone have experience of installing Linux on an Alpha 1000 4/233?  At
work the Alpha 1000 was replaced with an Alpha 800 w/ Compaq TruUnix64
running accounts and administration via Oracle 7.3.4.  What we would like to
do is to install linux on the Alpha 1000 and then transfer the accounts
package to it as a) Unix on the 1000 is not y2k compliant, and b) it will
ease the workload of the 800.

Here are a few questions!

1.	Is it easy/difficult to install linux on the server?
2.	Will Oracle for Unix run on the Linux box?
3.	Is it worthwhile doing the above?

Also it would be appreciated if anyone could give me details of where to
obtain Alpha linux locally.
