Metro-X has supported it for quite a while now. I tried it about 2 years
ago at home with 2 identical graphics cards (read equally crap, cause
using 2 different cards shat on me from a great height) & two totally
different monitors, there seemed to be no major problems outside of
having to use the settings for the lower spec monitor on both. The
version of Metro which I was using was whatever was shipped with The
InfoMagic Linux Developers Resource at the time (4.0 I think). Haven't
looked at it since then but the blurb can be found somewhere on
http://www.metrolink.com
