Hi,

I hope this isn't sacriligious(spelling?) but I'm looking for some help with
my small home network.

I have a linux laptop connected to a Windows '95 box. Now, I can ping the
windows box without any difficulty from the laptop, but can't do the
reverse. I have installed TCP/IP on the windows box - I now have two
versions of it - one linked to the modem and one to the nic. Is this right?

My question is - what do I need to set up on the windows box to make it work
properly? When I tried to ping the laptop from the pc without being
connected to the net, it started the ESAT surfnolimits connection. So, what
do I need to configure?

I ask this question in here, because I fiugure that some of you have done
this before and may be able to help. I had it working before, but due to
having had to re-install my Win '95 system a while back, i can't do it
anymore...:(

The relevant numbers/names are as follows:

Name of Windows PC: winpc.com
IP Address: 192.168.0.30

Linux Laptop: linuxlaptop.com
IP Address: 192.168.0.20

many thanks,

Mike
