Trevor,

Usenet is just Newsgroups. I notice that you have an Oceanfree e-mail 
address. Oceanfree should have a news server that you can log onto. If for 
one reason or another, you can't do that and want a list of free 
newsservers, try here:

As for a news reader program for Linux, try here:
