[ILUG] 4th of Dec meeting: Can I bring my hardware?

I had a quick word on Thursday at Doyle's after ESR's talk. There seemed to be
some suggestion that maybe one room could be used for System set-up and general
installation help?

My Hardware:
PII 350 with 6G hard drive, 4G is Linux with 8M AGP video and 10/100 ethernet
card.
P 133 with a 1.6G hard drive with Windows95 and a 1.28G hard drive sitting idle.
2M video card and 10/100 ethernet card.
486DX4 100 with small hard drive, only ISA slots, 1M trident video card and
minimal LInux installation with X-Server.
A few spare hard drives 850 <->1.2G or so.
A SCSI tape drive, condition unknown.
Canon 240 BubbleJet printer.
AGFA 1236S SCSI scanner.

What I want:
I think the 486 would be good for keeping files, maybe also a print server? I
was also thinking I could set it up to connect to my ISP at night, fetch and
send mails as well as fetching files via ftp during the cheap rates. I've only
got one modem, a USR that does work with Linux. I would leave this PC on all the
time basically.

The P 133 is for my daughter. I need a Linux that she can start and stop by
herself. I was thinking of DragonLinux

But anything that would make things easy for her.

The PII 350 is for me, of course. But I need to share it with the wife, so I
need an easy shutdown for this as well. I've got Netscape 4.6 installed. I tried
to install 4.7, but I need to upgrade to Debian 2.2 for libc6.

I want to get E-Mail accounts set-up for the family, and a E-Mail reader that my
daughter can use. I also want netscape in my menu, and when a web-page is
requested, a prompt before dialling out.

I've also got Doom and Doom II, the twin pack for Windows, but I can't figure
out how to get it to run in Linux. I've also got StarOffice from PCPlus and
WordPerfect for Linux I'd like installed as well.

Anything else you can think of to keep the wife and daughter from saying, "But I
want to use Windows."

I can also get a small 10/100 switch so we can network together for maybe some
cool network games?

How about it? a mini installfest? I'll bring my toys.
