They run a lot hotter (the Athlon 500 is as hungry as a PIII-600+), but for
a short time
it should be okay...

If it fits...it may. I was looking at the Athlon heatsink/fan in Peats a
few weeks back. It's a monster. It looks considerably bigger than the
PIII/PII fans/sinks.
